Hydraulic Hybrid Instructional Materials

Developed under the grant “Multipurpose Educational Modules to Teach Hydraulic Hybrid Vehicle Technologies,” these materials include two simulations and associated student handouts.  The first simulation consists of a MATLAB/Simulink model for the fuel economy performance of a hydraulic hybrid vehicle.  The second is a LabVIEW program simulating a hydraulic pump/motor test apparatus.

This zip file contains the MATLAB/Simulink model files that simulate the road performance of a hydraulic hybrid vehicle.  Handouts for two student exercises are included along with other documentation.

Hydraulic Test Stand Simulation

This zip file contains the LabVIEW program that simulates a hydraulic pump/motor test stand.  The program can be used as a virtual laboratory experience that allows students to change parameters and visualize in real time the system response.  Lab handouts and other documentation are included.
